Mark Ording Bio

Mark Ording has more than 25 years of experience in sports and entertainment marketing, sponsorship strategy and measurement, business development, client service and finance/accounting. In early 2023, Mark started VisionMark Consulting, which specializes in sponsorship strategy development and measurement solutions for brands, agencies and rightsholders.

Previously, Mark led the measurement division at Intersport where he delivered measurement services to 20+ brand clients to help them help them strategically select, negotiate, value, activate and measure returns for a total combined portfolio of more than $300 million of sports marketing and sponsorship investments.

Mark also spent 17 years at IEG where he served as VP Consulting, led the company’s Valuation and Research departments and helped build IEG Valuation Service, the industry’s first third-party source for sponsorship valuations. During his time at IEG, Mark sold and delivered consulting and measurement services and helped hundreds of rightsholders and brands justify over $2 billion in marketing investments. Mark is also a CPA and started his career as an auditor at Grant Thornton.  

Mark earned his business degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (go Illini!). He has 3 kids and enjoys spending all his free time driving them to soccer practice. He also likes running half marathons, live music, spicy food, comedy, documentaries and suffering through Chicago Bears and Blackhawks games.
